Our future as the world’s largest portable power integrator

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

Yesterday, about 200 engineers, professionals and power solutions manufacturing experts from Palladium Energy and ICCNexergy came together for an exciting announcement - our two great companies will be merging operations, creating one of the world’s largest portable power solutions providers. Our combined team (which totals more than 3,300 global employees) expressed enthusiasm about our future as one company and what this means for the future of portable power. Now, I’m excited to share this news with the broader industry and business community.

KRG Capital Partners has acquired Palladium and is merging the brand’s operations with ICCNexergy, which is a KRG portfolio company and headquartered just miles from Palladium’s headquarters in suburban Chicago.

With over 435,000 square feet of manufacturing space across 14 facilities and four continents, our combined company is equipped to meet the rising demand for portable power. By 2020, Gartner estimates that 25 billion Internet-connected devices will be on the market. As OEMs look to power the next generation of portable devices, ICCNexergy and Palladium expect that in less than three years, we will have manufactured 1 billion portable power solutions for mission-critical applications ranging from medical devices to consumer electronics. With expertise in lithium, solid state, and other battery technologies; as well as the design, engineering and manufacturing of charging systems, our combined company is leading the industry with total portable power solutions.

I look forward to serving on the executive team of this new company alongside a team of leaders with more than 200 years of experience. Together, we’re already hard at work ensuring a seamless transition, and we look forward to revealing our new brand identity in the near future.

To our customers, prospects and employees - we look forward to your continued support as we power the world’s future. For more information on this announcement, click here.
