The effective date for compliance to the new standards is rapidly approaching. Both old and new products that do not comply with the new requirements by November 1, 2011 will likely need to have their UL markings removed by that date. Furthermore, noncompliant products will be deleted from UL’s database.
Although the effective date for compliance is November 2011, UL’s
cutoff date to receive samples, specifications and documents is May
2011. If you believe your company’s product no longer complies,
IQL recommends that you contact your UL representative immediately
to allow sufficient lead time for UL submittal and testing. Or, for
