June 21, 2011 – Perseus Telecom is one of the leading providers of telecommunications. The company recently announced that it has supplied a high-speed connection to Palladium Energy in Manaus, Brazil which is located in the center of Amazonia. Palladium Energy's Manaus manufacturing site situated in the largest tropical rainforest on earth was on the lookout for a better connection to enable them to increase their productivity. Perseus Telecom quickly decided to take up the challenge and help Palladium Energy with its connectivity issues.
Palladium Energy started their search by going with an MPLS network from a top-tier carrier. However, it did not work out, as their network performed poorly, giving them slow speeds which resulted in lost productivity. The company then contacted BlackWire Consulting Group (BCG) and asked them to come up with a solution to solve their network troubles.
In a release, Todd Hawes, IT Director at Palladium Energy said that "We thought the only viable solution was satellite, then BCG recommended Perseus Telecom. They have solved our problem and we now have a fast, stable and cost-efficient solution".
BCG conducted many tests to find the best network solution. BCG then got in touch with Perseus Telecom as they were confident of their ability to offer global network solutions across multiple fiber asset providers. Perseus Telecom gave Palladium 4 times the amount of bandwidth than what they originally requested and gave it to them at a lower cost. Perseus along with BCG took care of the provisioning of the circuit, installation as well as testing and got the network up and running within a period of 90 days.
Dr. Jock Percy, CEO of Perseus Telecom said that "We're delighted to provide Palladium Energy with a high-speed, reliable and cost-efficient solution into their Amazon site." Palladium Energy's new network now has dedicated bandwidth helping them operate Citrix and Lifesize Video Conferencing and also to successfully manage bandwidth-intensive CAD drawings.
